Selvage scans a Shopify catalog, scores it against a versioned rubric for the two surfaces AI shopping reads — Catalog syndication, which reads your Shopify product data, and open-web citations, which read your product page — and drafts presentation copy in your store's own voice for you to review. Questions that come up first

What can Selvage change in my catalog?

Five presentation fields: title, description, product type, tags and image alt text. It never writes your facts — barcodes and GTINs, materials, dimensions, certifications, price and inventory — and where a check needs one of those, it flags the product for your input instead of inventing an answer.

Does anything change without me approving it?

No. Selvage drafts wording and shows it beside the current wording; nothing reaches your products until you approve it.

How do I undo a change?

Selvage records what each field held immediately before it writes, and a rollback restores that recorded value — unless you have edited the field yourself since, in which case your newer wording is left in place, and the app tells you so rather than overwriting your edit.

What access does Selvage have?

Product read and write access only. It holds no customer and no order data.

Where does my product copy go?

Drafting sends that product's own copy to a third-party AI model. The privacy policy lists every flow that leaves the app, what each one sends, and how long anything is kept after an uninstall.

How do I remove Selvage?

Uninstall it from your Shopify admin, the same way as any other app. Removing it revokes its access and starts the deletion described in the privacy policy.
